General enquires include questions about:
- Making a booking
- Insurance (Use our Emergency Guide for more info on what to do in an accident)
- Maintenance, MOT and servicing
- Vehicle Excise Duty and fines
- Home charge point
- Public charging access
If you have been involved in an accident, you should follow the guidance in our Emergency Guide and let us know about the accident as soon as you can, following the guidelines below.
Reporting an incident
First and foremost, please make sure you and anyone else involved are safe. As soon as you are able, please submit a report via our elmo Claims App which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android). This sends a report straight to our claims team to ensure they can handle your case in an efficient and timely manner.
Alternatively, collect the information in the Emergency Guide and call 0345 300 4644 and press option 1 – this will take you to our insurance company, NIG. Note: This number will only work within office hours. If your vehicle needs recovering out of office hours between 5pm and 9am, you should call our recovery provider direct on 0800 400 655. They will assist you with recovering your car, but you’ll still need to submit a report in the elmo Claims App as soon as you can.
If you’re unable to use the app to submit the claim information, you should send an email with the details to firstname.lastname@example.org, as soon as possible.
Breakdown & Roadside Assistance
If your car has broken down and you need assistance, you should call elmo Breakdown Assistance on 0333 070 2788. This is operated by our partners who are available 24/7.
You’ll need to:
- Tell them the registration of your vehicle
- Confirm the make/model of your vehicle
- Confirm your exact location and whether you/your passengers are safe
- Explain what’s happened
They will be able to help you with your electric car, should you need any roadside breakdown support. If they’re unable to offer assistance over the phone or at the roadside, they will tow your vehicle to the nearest garage, or back to your home.
