Polestar 2 range and charging

If you’re looking for an EV that can get you from A to B, then back to A again (a few times over) then the Polestar 2 should be high on your list of considerations. Even the most affordable model, the Pilot standard range, has an impressive real-world range of 215 miles.

With Type 2 and CCS connectors, there are plenty of options available for charging. From empty to full, a 7kW charger will take around 11 hours, or if you’re charging via a 3-pin plug it’ll take around a day and a half. However, if you use a 150kW rapid charger you’ll charge from 20-80% in around 20 mins.

Installing an EV charger at home is convenient, but with such short charging times it’s not essential for getting the most out of your Polestar 2.

Polestar 2 interior

Infotainment centre with high-performance audio, climate control, and a touch screen? Check. Heated front seats? Check. Rear camera and front and rear parking assist? Check. The Polestar 2 is jam-packed with features to make the driving experience simple, fun and safe, including Android Auto.

Depending on the level of tech and functionality you’re looking for, the Polestar 2 Pilot, Plus and Performance packs each have an assortment of additions to crank things up a notch (or three).

The Pilot offers pixel LED headlights, a 360-degree camera, driver assistance with pilot assist, adaptive cruise control and more.

The Plus offers everything the pilot has plus Harman Kardon premium sound, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, heat pump and more.

The Performance is only available with the Long Range Dual Motor, and includes 20-inch alloy wheels, handling upgrades, Brembo front brakes and more.

Polestar 2 exterior

  • LED headlights
  • Retractable frameless mirrors
  • Rain sensor
  • Foot-operated boot
  • Adaptive rear LED lights

Polestar 2 key features

If the great range, slick design, and a mountain of tech we’ve already covered aren’t enough to convince you the Polestar 2 is worth your time, there are a few key features that should cement it at the top of your list of considerations.

  • The 360-degree camera offers you a birds-eye view when parking, helping you to navigate even the tightest spaces. Once you’ve used it you’ll wonder how you ever used to park with mirrors (and wit) alone.
  • The remote opening boot allows you to access the boot with just a wave of your foot, perfect for loading the car after a tiring shopping trip.
  • The large infotainment centre has boatloads of functionality which is all controlled from the centralised unit.
